    AFAIK you add on about 20% of the cost price. I think it actually gives the import price on that link you posted.....$472. That's Ebay UK. See if that guitar is available on Ebay.ie I'm sure the import cost wont be far off the UK one.


    EDIT : Looks like it is on the Irish EBay and the import price is similar.

    AFAIK, the duty is based on the price of the item, regardless of whether it's new or second hand.

    ring customs and excise tarrif classification in nenagh ( dont have the number) they will give you the correct tarrif code and you will then be able to apply the correct duty rate and then VAT too. 20 % as above is most definitley not correct

    more like 30%, that's what i paid in two separate occasions for imported equipment (both used)

    does not take into account the 'processing fees' and charges by the carrier. I'm not making this up, was about 30%

    VAT + Customs Fee + Handling Charge and yer coming up near 30%. Remember though, that's after shipping... not calculated before the shipping cost is added.

    I was in London recently and saw a shop in Denmark St. with a few Nash's in the window. You may be better off popping over there.
