I'm in a bit of a dilemma and looking for some advice.

I have the option of either taking a BSc in General Science(3yrs) and MSc(1yr) in Digital Investigation and forensics or taking just BSc(Hons)(4yrs) in Computer Science.

Which option would be the best in terms of future job prospects, what would be the pros and cons of both?

Will you get into the MSc with the BSc (Ordinary)? Almost all MSc programmes require a BSc(Hons), last time I checked.

You'll have to pay fees for the MSc that you wouldn't have to pay for the 4th year of the BSc (€8000), plus postgraduate programmes are less grant friendly, should that be a factor.

You'll have a higher level qualification at the end - no one will really mind that you only have an ordinary BSc if you've got a masters.

You'll have a more specialized qualification, which will make your life easier if you're looking for jobs in a related discipline, and probably have minimal impact vs the BSc(Hons) if you go for a non-related discipline

What are you thoughts on it ?

    Is it worth it?
