Tonsillectomy voice change

Hi, I'm 22 years old and getting my tonsils removed very soon. They are quite big in size and was wondering if I get them removed will it change my voice? I know my voice will be hoarse for a few weeks while I recover but I'm wondering would it permanently change my voice?

Medical advice is not allowed as per forum charter. This is some thing you need to as your doctor.
