Looks decent in fairness, I bought one of the Anker ones recently and it's very handy.
    Bit more expensive though...

I bought one of these a few months back for a similar price, it's highly recommended from my experience...

    Where's the bargain?
    Here for e9.34 + a coupon floating around http://www.tmart.com/New-6-Port-USB-Charger-Adapter-Plug-UK-Standard-White_p234356.html?
I'm sure there are cheaper somewhere else as well

Well that one outputs 4 amps to 6 ports, the amazon one delivers 2.1 amps to each of 2 ports and 1 amp to each of 3 more, so would charge a lot quicker.

Some devices might not charge at all on the tmart one. As some device need more amps.

It has genuine CE safety accreditation too. Love the Chinese sites but won't buy chargers or mains-operated equipment from them anymore.

Jesus, that tmart one looks like a recipe for a child getting electrocuted.

I bet if you were to open it up it would not have the correct separation between the 240v side and 5v side.

I bet it would be really easy for a jolt or a drip of water to bridge the sides and cause all of the USB port grounds to become live.

It really isn't worth the risk.

This seems to be a well manufactured generic.

I was eyeing up the, 25W 'Anker' branded one, on Amazon, a while back.

Judging by the pictures, they are the same as the OP's offer.

The beefed up, 'intelligent', 40W version isn't that much more expensive though.

    Sorry for the sidetrack..

    I have the 40w one above and it's a great yoke :)

It says GBP13.99 when you click the link ?

Where does 12.60 come from ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 22,648 ✭✭✭✭beauf

Why would you need the beefed up one. Charging multiple tablets at once?

Sadly, this was £9.99 (approx. €12.60) for one day - 4th July:

(I did pay £13.99 and still a bargain)
