    Hey everyone.

Bought an 03 VW GOLF 1.4l there about 4 months ago. However I only got 1 key with the car, the physical key. I've asked a few people about the original key, and have had conflicting answers about whether the original would have been a full electric key with remote central locking.

Would anyone out there have any idea if that era Golf would have had a full electric key as its standard?

never seen that year golf with just a key without remote fob, ... but wont say it didnt came such ... if you after remote central lock, there is way to instal aftermarket central lock , or alarm with central lock features ( i have done for good few cars).

I know its not an 03 Golf but my wife has an 05 Polo with a key which locks all the doors. She couldn't get the remote control, even as an extra, she would have had to buy the next version "up". A friend had a basic 99 Diesel Passat which just used the key also.
