Thinking of canceling Sky as its never really watched.

Do we get to keep everything once its cancelled, Box and Dish?

Also I will still receive the FTA channels yes?

The box is a HD+ box, I'm aware I will lose the ability to record.

Yes we have had it about 6 years now, so I reckon we are out of the minimum term.lol

Also what sort of channels do i expect to receive.
We have a old white Sky Box in another room with no card, and getting the FTA channels, but in the UK layout, ie. BBC 1 as 101 and so on.

Will the newer Sky HD+ box still have an unwatchable RTE 1 as 101?

What about BBC HD, can we receive them?

    Thanks.

You will have to tune nearly all the freesat channels into the 'other channels' section.
Sky did an update on all the sky+ HD boxes that did away with the UK set-up.
Try taking the card out and you will see exactly what will be available on the normal menu.
Best thing is to buy an expired ex-UK card and put that in. This will give you the UK EPG (same as your old White Box, but with HD on the Freesat channels) which is a lot more practical than using 'other channels'.
Usually some for sale on Adverts.ie

Remember that we can't discuss buying and selling of BSkyB viewing cards here

Also OP if you plan on never, ever, going back to Sky ever again, you may be best off investing in a Freesat or generic free to air satellite receiver that will avoid you having to go into other channels. You can buy Freesat+ or PVR boxes that will give you back the ability to record.

I don't really mind losing the ability to record tbh, do I also lose the ability to pause though yes?

It doesn't have to be a never ever situation either. Some of the better sat boxes will take your sky card if you ever decide to rejoin sky.
