Job Bridge payment question?

So basicly Monday this week (4days ago) I got an interview for a job bridge
the next day they offered me the place and asked me to come in to fill out forms.

I went in filled out forms, and was told I need to bring this form (an application to see if I am eligible) to my social welfare. I found out I was eligible the next day which was a Wednesday.

I brought in the forms to the social on the tuesday, they asked for my bank details, I gave them, he said as soon as I find out I am eligible, I will be paid directly into my bank account every Thursday.

Now heres my confusion, I get paid every tuesday
so last tuesday (3 days ago) I got paid for last week

so How does it work now? I thought I would be paid this thursday (yesterday) for this week, this was not the case
so I am just wondering, do I collect my payment next tuesday in the post office because my payment didnt go through this thursday?

the person in the social welfare said I would be best of getting my bank details into him asap so I could be paid thursday, so I gave him my details on the tuesday and he never clarified which thursday I would be getting paid, I don't see why he was trying to rush me into giving him my bank details if I was not going to be paid until next thursday

So I am not sure if they just didnt get my bank details on time for me to be paid yesterday, or if I was just going to start getting paid into my bank account from next thursday onwards? if this is the case I am also no sure if I have to collect from my post office on Tuesday

I also start the internship on Monday coming.
this happen to anyone else? sorry my post is very confusing to read I know haha

From what you have outlined above I would think that your money will be in your bank account next Thursday.

In the same boat. If they only pay on Thursdays into the bank account im screwed.

I pick up on a Monday in the post office and if there is nothing there what am I supposed to do until Thursday? Rent is due

you prob have you payment as normal on the Monday and following thursday on-wards you should get paid into you A/C. I think it takes about a month for the 50 euro top to come thought tho which is back dated.

if you ring the office they be able to tell you.

I start monday, wont be able to collect as the job hours are basicly post office opening hours, I'll ring them

but seriously Lasting nearly 2weeks without pay, its hard to put food on the table haha

if it is in the post office it will be kept there for 3 days I think. if it is there on Monday. tell the people you work with on Monday. that for this week you being paid at the post office and will need to be a bit late on Tuesday in order to collect it.

you are entitle to take time off when you need to to deal with the dole office etc and jobs interviews which do not come from you holiday time.

Ahh thats grand so. Ill probably manage to get over on lunch providing its not between 1-2pm.

Well I got shafted. Started the job bridge on Monday and no money there for me Monday. So in total ill have gone 10 days without money when I eventually get paid, rent due tomorrow.

Any bets on Thursday I wont get what I will have been left short.

You try and do something with yourself and they give you the middle finger.

odds are I wont get what I'm owed thursday either
had to get a loan out
