Homework

I am at the homework stage of getting a dental implant. I am missing one of my molar teeth and the one beside the space is slowly dying. Can anyone give me a rough guide to the price of getting a double implant with an ordinary dentist? I know dentists have a price list displayed, but I just want to start figuring the costs before any dentist visit. Thanks in advance.

How many implants? How many crowns, do you need bone grafts, extractions, sinus lifts? Whats you aesthetic demand? There are so many factors that it is impossible to say with any accuracy. Somewhere between 1800 and 4000 euro per implant. It all depends.

I will need one tooth removed but no bone grafts. I have no interest in aesthetics - I just want to be able to chew on that side of my mouth. One tooth out - two (side by side) implants in. G

How do you know that you don't need a bone graft?

I would not take it as read that that is the case so. Without assessment, and X-rays or 3d scans you cannot tell. It also takes a surgeon with experience to know.

First find out if your suitable. Next find out your options and what will suit you. Then shop around for price. However most people find that treatment it too important to solely base on price.

I do this every day and sometimes I'm surprised by the need for or no need for bone grafting in some cases....
A hygienist who never does these procedures is unlikely to be able to predict this....
