    Hi,

Im trying to view my skybox in two other rooms via magic eyes. I have the 9v rf out ran into a power pass splitter and the feeds to both rooms ran from the outputs of the splitter. while the picture can be viewed in both rooms the red light on the eyes is not lighting up and i cannot change the channel. taking the spliiter out of the set up i can view and change channel in one room at a time but for some reason the 9v signal will not passs through the power pass splitter to allow me to view and change in both rooms.

Can anyone tell me how i would get the 9v signal to both eyes at the same time, maybe a different type splitter?

    Thanks

If you have the correct bypass type splitter, there should be no issue having a number of eyes in use.
If you don't have a bypass type splitter, you would get the problem you describe.
Poor joints or the wrong type of connectors will prevent magic eye function but if you can get it working in both rooms without the splitter, that to me would suggest that the connectors are good.

Some splitters only pass power from output to input, say for powering a remotely sited amplifier. Are there red arrows indicating direction of power pass on the splitter you have?

OP doesn't seem to have any complaints about picture quality at the remote TVs. No need for an amplifier if the right kind of splitter will do a satisfactory job.

Thanks for replies...picture quality is perfect on both tv's just cant get 9v signal to both through splitter...what exactly would be the right splitter...i may just get the 2 way link amplifier as the "power pass" splitter didnt work,,,

Does the splitter you have pass power in both directions or, 1 direction only, indicated by arrows?

i dont have splitter to hand but i think it only had arrows in one direction...can you get a cheap splitter that allows both directions or would i need two way link amplifer

I have used those 2 way link amplifiers in a few situations like yours and they work well.

You can get an 8 tv philex splitter with required bypass for around 20quid on ebay.

Just get a splitter that passes power both ways, between input & both outputs. Should be less than €4.

No need for an amplifier unless the TV picture from Sky RF is suffering from low signal by the time it gets to the remote TVs.
