Looking for a pub

I was taken to a pub a few miles outside Athlone, heading towards Glasson I think, a few years ago.

It was up a country lane, in the middle of nowhere and was literally someones house, converted but still had a kitchen (the bar) and living room (the lounge)

Trying to find it again, google maps, or somewhere

    Can anyone help me out?

What happened you there? Were you blindfolded on the way?

I'm not sure I want to know...

No, it was definitely a pub, had the Guinness sign bolted to the wall over the door. The bar was fully stocked, plenty of taps etc.

The Dog and Duck is just outside Athlone on the road to Glasson.

I think you are looking for Murrays in Maghera. It is past Glasson on the road to Ballymahon, just past Tang school, turn left.

Did the motorway sudden become a small track with grass in the middle?

Was it like a kind of Ghost town?
