    Hi there and sorry if this topic has already been mentioned, but I was wondering who is the countrys best old school style tattoo artist, the kind you see in tattoo flashes,salior jerry style bold lines ect. I will be looking to get more ink added soon but would like a nice old school peice. Ive started a sleeve and all my ideas I came up with were old school all the insperation I gave the artist were the same, but I felt he just was not into it and tweekd it that much that its not what I had in mind,but him being the artist I listened and altough its a lovely tattoo its just not what I had in mind,which brings me here. Can anyone recomend an artist who is into doing old school. I will not mention who the artist is as he has being tattooing me years and has done the majority of my work which has always gone beyond my expectations,so if anyone is looking for dirt look elsewhere

    Ross Nagle, AllStar Ink, down in Limerick. Probably top dog when it comes to the Old Skool Traditional tattoos.

    Paul Aherne is also excellent.

    Think he moved recently, but can't remember which studio he moved to...?

    He went to The Ink Factory iirc. New shop on the quays.

    Which shop did you go to with your ideas? There's dozens of great artists in the country doing awesome traditionally influenced work but ai there's a certain appeal to the tattoos done by people who have been tattooing the same Jerry Sailor flash for the last 30 years.

    If it's proper gnarly old school you're looking for OP I'd check out Classic Ink in Temple Bar;

    And remember that for it to be a proper old school sleeve it has to be a dozen pieces from a dozen different artists! :p

    Totally agree with the recommendations for Ross in All Star Ink.

    Tommy in Classic Ink is also brilliant with traditional tattoos, he's an old skool dude himself.
