Who'd have thunk it, Irelands first UFC champion could actually be 'Ais the Bash'!!!

Will definitely be one to watch. Any word on the coaches? Would be great to see Scottish Joanne do well as well.

I could be wrong but I think the coaches are Pettis and Melendez.

Can't find the post while on my phone, but I said a while ago that despite not being signed, Ais was the closest to UFC gold.

Apparently she stood out at trials. So that should put her up the "picks". Some of the Invicta girls will be the ones to beat. But it's worth pointing out that some if these girls are fighting up from atomweight

    Looking forward to this majorly.

Hopefully she gets a rematch against Ellis

I've seen Tecia Torres before. Bit of a point fighter, but lightning quick. A fight between her and Calderwood would be awesome.

Yeah this is correct. Really looking forward to this and think as was said she will be in a great spot in the picks and they will pick good fights for her assuming her team has control. Was getting bored with TUF but the Irish contingent has been keeping me interested again lately!

She's definately One of the more experienced fighters still at a young age there. Hopefully that'll stand to her in the house

This could be the making of Ais. She got badly beaten by Katja Kankaanpaa and i thought that would be hard to recover from but she got a win since and is still relatively young and shes tenacious so you never know. She seems to give so much back to the game so she would be deserving of a shot at least. Ill be rooting strongly.

Might give it a watch surely can't be as bad as the current season. Seen JoJo in Invicta surely the favourite only realized Ais Daly is younger Jaysus

They only went over about a week ago, so filming has likely just started. It'll be on in the Autumn.

This season is really coming at the right time for the UFC.

Seems like a fight broke out between 2 girls on 1st day of shooting and 'half of them don't like each other all ready' Gwan Dana, hype the shyte out of this!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,323 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

    In the build up

Dana: "This is the most crazy, exciting season ever. These chicks cause mayhem and carnage the likes you've never seen. You won't believe it"

A couple of weeks before the finale

Dana: "This season was terrible! The fights were awful and half of them don't want it! The next season is going to be crazy and nuts and wacky and off the wall though, honest!"

I've seen Ais fight a good few times. A lot of those live.

She's very tough and very durable. She is a very good all rounder. She might not be the stand out talent of the house but she definitely has all of the skill sin place to make a dent in the house.

She wouldn't be as fancied as Cathal was, but she wouldn't be as unfancied as Fields was! Really looking forward to seeing how she gets on!

Aisling's last fight was a submission victory, and a very good fight for her way before she caught the armbar that finished her opponent in the second round. This was new year's eve in the Helix 2013. An excellent performance.

    It's prob true for once.
Women's MMA is a small world. A lot if these girls know each other going in. There's probably a few serious grudges too.
Bec Rawlings (Hyatt) has a big mouth on social media and an attitude problem. She lost against Carls Esparza for the Invicta title. I expect she'll kick off.
