I have bought a small secondhand Hardi spraying machine holds about 80 gallons. The question I have is that there is a handle/lever near the pressure gauge.I was told it has to be up for mixing and down for spraying ,but the guy who told me wasn't fully sure, does anyone know.I don't want to ask my local dealer, because he is too nosy.

Ya with the pump going the water will circulate, down it will spray, thought that would be pretty obvious;)

If that is the small little one (about 3cm long), it doesn't make any difference which way it is when spraying.

It controls the agitation of the sprayer and that is no harm to keep mixing when you are spraying.

Less of an issue with Roundup though.

I have an old hardi it has only 1 lever, up it circulates the water through the pump and back in to the tank, pull it down and she starts spraying

Fill it with water only and try it in the yard until you find out what each lever does if you are unsure
