Loan for house extention

    I'm building onto my grandparents house. 1300 square feet basically two houses joined together. Have it sealed at the minute roof on windows in plastered etc. now i need another 50000 to finsh it. Will I be able to burrow money when it's all in the grandparents name

    I don't know the answer but surely this is something that you should have clarified before starting on the building project??

    Highly unlikely unless you have other security to offer. Bank can't take your grandparent's house as security for your loan and that is too high an amount to get as an unsecured loan.

    Can the property be split legally?
