This one could fit the bill - gorgeous location beside sea and plenty of walking

Most woods in Ireland tend to be planted evergreens, not my idea of woods.

try glengariff co cork, if you are not bothered by travelling this could be the place. The re is a lovely B&B overlooking the see, great views and there is a nature reserve about 2km away.

the b&b in glengarriff is pretty cheap for what you get. And everyone in glengarriff are really nice.

A hotel isn't going to be great for getting away from people! We stayed here in February

Lovely little property, there was a lovely walk just down the road outside Lismore, Lismore Castle is gorgeous and I'd never heard of it before so when you come upon it it really takes the breath away. You're not far away from the sea either and you could go to the Cliff House Hotel for some amazing food.
I've stayed in 2 landmark trust properties and they've been brilliant.
