    I cannot post links

I wonder is this really true seems astounding . What is true Ireland is one of only a few countries that does not have a closed transit area.

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

Google : Ethiopian Airlines seeking stop-over in Dublin

This appears unreal considering the transit situation at Dublin Airport.
How about pre clearance in Ethiopia !

Ethiopia sold their naming rights to Google?

    Interesting.

Not entirely sure what you mean OP but are you saying that you cannot transit through Dublin Airport without going "landside"?

OP, you could have opened this thread in Aviation & Aircraft if you wanted discussion on the topic. The average AH poster is hardly going to care.

Think the OP might be trying a thinly veiled After Hours friendly -"loads of illegal immigrants are going to escape from in transit planes and take over our little Island" type thread, or something in that vein. Or maybe not.........

This is in keeping with Enda's 2011 promise to make Ireland the "best small country in the world... without a closed transit area" IIRC.

Are you reading the same article?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
