Are there any wheat free bars out there?

Many of the power bars and sis bars contain wheat. I'll get away with gels for 2 hours racing but need more over 3 hours.

Any suggestions from lads racing with similiar requirements?

Nakd bars or some 9bars are gluten free. Homemade rice cakes are a cheaper option.

Look up the GCN channel on YouTube. They have a video of the Tinkoff-Saxo chef making rice bars. They're fantastic.

There should be a good few available but these are ones that are both wheat and gluten free and tasty (but also expensive): https://www.bouncefoods.com/uk/index.php

They are also wheat free from what I recall. To be pointlessly pedantic, wheat free and gluten free are not the same thing; gluten is also found in barley and rye and it is possible that de-glutenised wheat starch is used in some products which means it is gluten free but not wheat free :o

    Exactly, well said.

I'm not gluten intolerant but feel I've a definite wheat intolerance and having almost 95% given up wheat from bread sources to sauces to sausages, I've found more energy and lost weight not to mind my digestion is normalised now. More rest, better sleeps and less gas!

Definitely a better way of living for me but for cycling I do need an easy carb on the stomach so will try your suggestions.

    Thanks all
