    Hi,

If a person is on JSA and has an opportunity of temporary work for 2 or three weeks, is this a case of informing the social when it stopped and have payment reinstated once it finishes? Or is it closing the case and having to reopen another?

The SW will suspend your payment for the duration of the work, and restart it once you finish and bring in proof of same, such as a letter from the employer stating you are finished. However, I would recommend talking directly to your local SW office to make sure.
