I bought this dress and it arrived this morning http://images.asos-media.com/inv/media/2/0/3/9/3689302/image3xl.jpg but when I tried it on, my underwear is visible through the material  I've tried white, nude, cream but nothing works. I'm raging cos it's perfect in every other way and I want to wear it for a party this weekend :( Is there anything I could do to make it wearable? Do people still wear 'slips' under dresses and if so, where could I get one?

I have a slip that I wear under one particular skirt. I think i got it in Penneys or Dunnes in the shapewear section, you could also try M&S, grannies love their slips!!!

Haaaattteee when white clothes are see through.

I bought a nude slip in Penneys a while ago for dresses like that that are a bit see through, think it was about €7 or so. M&S would definitely have them but Penneys or Dunnes should have something suitable too.

Great thanks :D Wasn't sure if shops still sold them, I was afraid I'd have to rifle through my granny's vast selection of roll ons and slips :o

you can get slips everywhere now, once upon a time M&S only did them and they were expensive. I remember stocking up on them in Matalan when I was in the UK. Penneys should have a good few. I like them esp. under a knitted dress give a smoother line I think
