Ford 7830 power shift,what they like?

    Hi guys,i was think of changing my zetor 8011 to a stronger tractor,as i pull a 8 ton machine and a heavyer tractor would suit me better.Anyone know what the
    Ford 7830 power shift are like and what hp are they,or what other would you guys suggest around the 6 to 7k mark.Thanks all

    im guessing you ment 8730 because u seen the one in carlow on donedeal that has 7830 on the add. No such thing as 7830 :). U want a heavy tractor, i think your goin too far with a 87. There huge tractors and would weight up to 10 ton with weights. Very hard on diesel and very bouncy on the road. Wouldn't be great going job to job with a track.

    you would want them very cheap and know where they come from . Because the cost of fixing the gearbox if it goes wrong and being a ford the engine is bound to go poures at some stage. They are around 170 im sure as the 8830 is 186 as it has an intercooler fitted also.

    something like a 8210 would be a better buy. Crash box all the way.....
