bvd test late reg

    I have bvd tested my calves and the result was negative but am now past the month I got the test results back,is this seen as a late reg now??

    Why didn't you register the calf when you Took the sample for bvd. Could you still just register the calf from today. Bit like the Christmas calve's registered for January. Neighbour got caught by the dept for altering dates so I say just ring the dept and see what they say.

    I always thought that icbf wouldn't send out the BVD result unless the calf was registered.

    You will get the results alright , just no movement cert

    I would advise register the calf ASAP. Use correct details. A form will be sent out asking your vet to confirm the calf's age. Once signed and returned (to the DVO, I believe), a card will be issued.

    Using the correct, apart being 'righteous' (been waiting for an occasion to use that Americanism :)), will ensure no conflict of dates/times/duration of pregnancy next year.
