HELP - cannot access phone content

    A month ago I dropped my phone (Galaxy S4) and smashed the screen. Didn't really bother me too much because I could still use the handset as normal.

    The cracks have gotten progressively worse over the last few weeks and tonight all of a sudden most of the screen (except the top half inch or so) has went black and I can't see anything on the screen.

    When I plug the phone into my laptop (to try and get the content copied onto my laptop), I cannot open the files in Windows Explorer (presumably because I need to enter the device password, which I can't do as I can only see the top half inch of the screen :( ).

    Is there any way ;
    a) The screen can be fixed
    b) I can access the content on my laptop without entering the password OR any way I can enter the password on my laptop instead of on the device

    Would really appreciate it if anyone can help.

    Thanks

    Hi

    Longshot but:

    Did You enabled USB debugging ?
    if yes You can pull files from phone on commandline - I've done that from my friend phone recently.

    Otherwise - replace screen.

    Tom
