Gaming PC for son €700

    Hi,
    My son has saved 700 for a gaming pc to play. it needs to be able to play Rome Total War II. From the extremely informative posts, I have put together what I think is suitable but would appreciate if some of you could comment on the good the bad or the missing. Thanks

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming]
    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes]
    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [No]
    5. Do you need a monitor? [No]
    5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [1920 x 1080] [No]

    You might need to change the psu.I think that R9 280 Dual-X OC has a minimum power supply requirement of 500 W

    Just checked it and min is 750w I have chosen this one instead Xilence Power 800 Watt

    Try get a SSD in there for the OS and for one or two games.

    Just this get PSU instead.

    You don't need a 750W psu or anything remotely near it for that setup.

    Other than that build looks grand.

    Corsair VS Serie V650, Non-Modular, 80+ is 48 Euro.

    You can look into a cheap copy of windows. 15 Euro.
