    Hi,

I want to start playing soccer but don't know how to go about it. The goal is to play in the SSE league of ireland someday. What team do I join or how do I go about it? Based in Waterford.

    Thanks.

Your 22 (I assume are not playing regularly or at a decent level recently) and you plan on making it in the LOI.

Best of luck, you will need it

Appreciate the honesty. Im not coming into it out of nowhere though. Ex county footballer and hurler, qualified personal trainer, I know Im extremely fit and my strength has always lied in soccer. I was just pushed into GAA when i was younger.

Im aiming a bit high with the LOI, probably never happen. However, Im confident in my abilities and if I can find a path to go on ill give it a shot. Really Im just looking for a decent club to get into and progress as far as I can with.

Well if you're fit and can run, I'd say Waterford United may take you now.

Or if you want to play Centre Midfield and watch your Centre Backs hit long balls to your forwards for 90 mins, you could get onto Trevor Croly at Shamrock Rovers
