I have my car parked on the road outside my house in a housing estate.

Tax and NCT were up in March but it is still insured.

I put it through the NCT but failed on numerous things and I left it outside on the road. Its been sitting idle on the street for a couple of months.

I'm insured on the parents car which is parked in the drive and put my car on donedeal for 1,000 as I decided to upgrade it from a 1 litre and to try and get money together.

i checked the car today and a sticker with the exact phrase was on the window.

"This vehicle is illegally parked and/or has no tax/insurance displayed. A fixed penalty notice will be issued".

Just wondering what is going to happen, court appearance, fine? I'm absolutely ****ting it.

Ignore it until you get an official letter in the post.

But, if your car is parked on a public road, then it must be taxed. You're better off parking it in your driveway, and if you have no intention of driving it, then you should have it declared off the road. Google will help you find out how to do that.

You'll likely get a fine for non-display of tax. it would make more sense to park the untaxed car in the driveway. It's likely they only looked at it because a neighbour complained.

Don't take the reg plates or window decor off a car thats parked up for long periods of time. They wont know who to fine then.
It'll probably be towed away as an abandoned vehicle.
