    Synopsis:

The emotional toll of the day’s events escalates when Kate Morgan learns the truth about her husband and Audrey confronts Boudreau about his duplicity. Making matters incredibly worse, the scope of the terror threat widens and the potential devastation reaches new heights in the all-new “Day 9: 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM” episode of 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY

I agree, Why do i feel like it's going to be Jack's final. . I really hope not as I've loved having it back

If Jack Bauer dies, i'm going to kill a kitten.

    Jack died in
    season 2 while being tortured.
The rest is clearly one long awful dream.

Holy sh*tballs, those last ten minutes.
The Chinese, a great bunch of lads :P

They really seem to be tying up Jack's entire arc in one nice neat bow don't they? Cheng is back, Russians after him, World War 3 imminent. Not looking good for Jack to be honest. Anytime 24 do this with a character it never ends well...

Anyway, on another note I am actually loving the 12 hour series. Everything is just so nicely paced, always felt from Season 2 onwards there were too many arcs and a good bit of filler. Another great episode. Jack and Kate breaking Nevarro, Cheng arriving back, Kate caught in the middle of all of Jack's problems at the minute, twists, turns. And all based around one thing-the override device. Nice to have one constant in a whole season of 24

Seems like everything is coming full circle for Jack, not confident about how this ends.

I think Kate's going to die.

Everyone is expecting Jack to die. The last season talk and all that but it being 24 the twist will probably be Kate's death.

    Bastards!

Had a feeling the Chinese or some group would be there when they showed Adrien and Chloe enter the building. Did not expect Cheng. Hopefully Jack kills him.

My money's on Chloe dying instead of Kate. Anyone but Jack though, I couldnt bare it.
Delighted Adrian got killed, slimy little sh*t.

Just so we're clear, I wasn't asking. That was just me being courteous.

Up there with the only reason you're still conscious is because I don't want to carry you.

I reckon that definitely one of Kate, Chloe or Jack is going to die. Reckon it might well be Chloe. I dont see Jack bowing out, but with this show, you never know. Anyway, things are going pear shaped in a major fashion. Could be a very action packed last two episodes! Really hope this isnt the end for 24.

Haven't gotten around to watching yet(really don't mind spoilers as it's been by numbers so far anyway) but my Dad popped his head in there and asked if I had, said no and asked was it any good he said there was a new faction involved, I replied jokingly I bet its the Chinese isn't it, :pac: Of course it is, sure they needed it to be to finish their rip off of Threat Vector didn't they, all they missed was changing jack's surname to ryan

Ok ok it's not exactly the same but the plot does come off as being lifted from the Tom Clancy book and given a 24 spin.

all that's needed is a few serbians from season one and we've got a cracking last couple of episodes!

Why do so many in here think this is the end of 24? They wouldn't have bothered to bring it back just to can it again.

We might have to wait a while similar to shows like Sherlock, but I'd wager we will see Jack Bauer again. Kiefer Sutherland likes the character too much.

F*ck me that was great action TV. They cant kill Jack surely? Although a quick Google finds zero talk so far of a renewal.

    Hmmmm!

I'd say that this season has had more casualties that all the other seasons combined

wow! What a twist. I so taken back by Cheng's return that, when Chloe was filling Adrian in on his past, did she mention how he got free from the Americans?

Like others, all I could think after seeing Cheng was that it's another nail in Jack's coffin. The Chinese story can be closed off before he dies. But now Im thinking they didnt really need to bring Cheng back to give Jack closure. He got that at the end of Day 6 when he captured him on the oil rig.

Maybe Chloe will be the one who dies. Remember Heller said before how Jack was cured and everyone he gets close to, one way or another ends up end. Maybe Jack will have to suffer the loss of another close friend. TBH, and it might not be a popular opinion here, but I think may have run her course. She now got some closure on Morris and her son, I cant see where they take the character now.

Only disappointment; a major character from Jack's past returned and it wasnt Tony! But they kept Cheng's return a surprise, maybe it'll be the same for Almeida!

Wow. Talk about tiring things together. Russians, Chinese...holy ****.

Loving the pace of this season it really isn't letting up.

You can only assume that once Jack learns that Chang is knocking about....serious death will follow.

Absolutely loved that line "That was me being courtoius , I wasn't asking" or whatever.

Sometimes I don't feel they play it up enough that this guy is living legend in that universe. If I say Jack walk into an interrogation room I'd tell him what he wants plus the lotto numbers just to be safe.

Its setting it up like Bauer isn't going to make it out of this. Him scoffing at the presidential pardon set the tone for me. This is all he knows ...all he can do...and there isn't really life outside of this for Jack.

If he is going...i m sure it will be glorious.

There was like over a 250,000 deaths in the other 8 seasons (terroists attacks, assassinations, Jack and CTU killing baddies etc). So I doubt it!

Think Chloe ripe for chop.... character is fairly played-out after this season.... to be fair to manage to write her into this series was no mean feat!

Jeasus, really? I know 12,000 died in the nuke in LA and about 2-3000 more with the virus in Day 3. Am i missing something really obvious?

Of course that deliciously hammy Russian is in fact Irish actor and prolific voice over artist Stanley Townsend, you'd know the voice if ya heard it!

Thank you for implanting that thought in my brain for the remainder of the series:eek:

That got me thinking.... wonder will Jack get some proper loving before season ends??? So far the closest he has got is some heavy nose to nose penetration with Audrey....;)

Dangerous game, last 2 people Jack.... 'interrogated' with his penis both died an hour later, Claudia in Day 3 and Renee in Day 8.
Maybe a quickie with Kate in the overturned jeep next week...

I love how they have to parachute those "heartfelt moments" into the show every so often like when Jack was dispensing his grief management advice to Kate. I was half expecting him to suggest to her the benefits of making out with a (former) fugitive, heavily tattooed granddad:rolleyes:

To be fair, that would probably be a runner if something similar hadn't occurred between Jack and Renee... plus the age gap might be a wee bit creepy? For the audience that is.... me? I'm down with age gaps within reason of course!

Heh, great scene in the car

Kate: “How am I supposed to live with this?”
    Jack: "You just do"

    Jack Bauer, grief counselor.

FFS Chloe!! You run to a bin truck to make a quick get away from Cross?? And Cross should have known better, no girl uses a portaloo unless her bladder is breaking at a music festival!

Another great episode for me, and now the Chengmeister is back, the cagey little hoor!

I was surprised to see Navarro make it out of the episode alive, just as I was surprised at Jack's lack of imagination when he interrogated Navarro. C'mon Jack, you once threatened to stuff a damp towel down someone's throat and leave it there until it fused with their stomach lining and then pull it out!

No matter who they bring back, I still don't see Jack dying in this series. Unless Sutherland has suddenly grown tired of the roll I can't imagine Bauer kicking it. But with 24 you never know I guess.

The ending I would actually like to see is the shockiest of shock endings - A 'happy' ending for Jack. Of course the man is emotionally broken beyond repair, but it would be nice to see him get to go home with a full pardon and have the chance to chill out with Kim and her kids.

Apart from the Simpsons, could you imagine Bauer making a guest appearance in another tv show or film franchise.... imagine how legendary it would be if he had a cameo in a Bourne or Bond? Heck let them start their own justice league of tourture..... Bourne Bond Bauer & Associates :-)

Jack was meant to be in the 4th Die Hard movie but that was scrapped:

That was fantastic. One of the best last 10 minutes they've had in any season. Happy Cross is dead,

I suspect Jack will lure the Russians into a fight with the Chinese, have them kill each other. All but Cheng, and Jack will get a confession out of him that he fired the torpedo's. He'll then spare him, trying mercy instead of the revenge he took on the Russians. Chinese won't be able to retaliate, Russians will be screwed for attacking American agents on British soil, and Jack will get his pardon.

And they'll all live happily ever after...oh wait, this is 24 :P

A thought occurred to me re Cheng.

In season six he attempted to compromise Russian security. I wonder if Jack will trade him to the Russians in exchange for a clean slate. Then the Russians assassinate Jack or capture him when we all think he's free.
