Radio installation

I have a Sony head unit that I had installed into my old car myself and I was going to install it into my new car, an Audi A3. The more I look into the installation though I see that it is not quite a plug and play operation like my old car. I am going to get a pro to wire it up for me. Can anyone tell me how much it will cost to do the wiring only? Ballpark figure will do. Any recommendations for auto electricians in the Galway area?

    Thanks

Wiring is only a matter of getting a compatible harness for your car. Should cost less than €10 to pick it up and then pop it in yourself.

Halfords sell them, but make sure you need one first. Has the A3 got a Blaupunkt fitted now?

There seems to be a lot more to the Audi set up than other cars. Not simply a plug and play situation. I've done it myself on other cars so I know what's involved. The harnesses I've seen online for my car are around 100 euro and there is some custom wiring need on top of that. If I can get an electrician to do it for under 100 euro I'd rather have him do it when he knows what he is at.

The head unit is the bog standard Audi Concert unit. Not sure who manufacturers it though.

Have you popped it out and checked what's there?
