Vibrating integrated washing machine

I have a new washing machine that's integrated into a fitted kitchen (i.e. it has a wooden door attached to the front to match the cupboards). It's sitting level (both sideways and back-to-front) but it's a tight fit with the surrounding appliances and there's approx 3mm on either side.

All feet have been set and the machine doesn't budge when you push it manually.

When the machine starts it's 1600 rpm spin, it seems to vibrate approx 2-3mm side to side (touching the surrounding appliances).

Is a 2-3mm vibration unavoidable in a washing machine, or should it be perfectly still at all times?

check it at 1200 rpm if its ok at that speed it has no issue other than the drum slightly out of balance due to slightly uneven load at such a high speed, it has to be absolutely seated firmly on the ground with the levelling feet screwed up with just enough down to keep it steady

ok so should it be absolutely still at 1200 rpm? Or can I expect 2mm vibration?

Were the transport bolts removed prior to installation?

Professional installation is no guarantee, I've seen cases in the past where this hasn't been done. In one case, the machine eventually started ripping apart the steel case at the rear. If the bolts were left to you after installation as they should be though, then you know that isn't the problem.

Yes the bolts were clearly visible on the ground outside.

Just to be clear, the machine runs fine, I'm just curious to know if 2-3mm vibration is normal.

you ask should it be still at 1200rpm, if empty yes, loaded no, when drum speeds get up to high speeds I have yet to see them perfectly still when spinning loaded. I presume you know the effect 20 grams of lead can have on a wheel to balance it after fitting a tyre to stop vibration if it is needed for totally smooth running, but if you are not happy get a service eng. to check the w/m. if 3 of the adjustable feet are not screwed fully up and the remaining adjustable leg used to level it off you can expect vibration

Great I'll check it when empty. Cheers for the tip.

Tested empty at 1200rpm . Not a single movement.

Alas seems I'll need to live with the rattle when clothes are in it.
