Not sure whether I'm in the right place or not but would any of you folk know if there's a market out there for reclaimed furniture. I have some experience in welding/fabrication and was looking into the possibility of making some coffee tables or similar just to test the waters. There is very little on donedeal/adverts in the line of reclaimed furniture for sale. A google search reveals this type of furniture goes for a pretty penny. I'd be looking to sell industrial pieces made from a mix of steel and timber.

Just an edit to say that I have all the equipment, mig welder, 15 ton press, angle grinders, drills etc and have some steel available. The timber I plan on using is off pallets.

    Hi op,

Think that would sell very well. Maybe try making one or two piece and posting a few pics.

From what I can see online, the furniture (particularly the type of stuff I'm making at the moment sells for quite a lot of money, it's actually shocking considering the cost of materials involved. I should be finished the coffee table tomorrow afternoon and will upload pics then. I was taking photos today too.
