Opel Astra cutting out

    02 opel astra has the weirdest problem ive seen in a while,will turn over and you can drive it for 5-20mins..then it intermittently cuts out,by this i mean it loses all power,cant use electric windows no power on dash etc.

    Wait time to restart is about 10 mins,battery is fairly new so im sure it isnt that(been checked and connections cleaned and tightened) wouldnt a garage be able to come up with error codes for this?

    Is this not a common ECU related fault with Astras? BBA Reman in the UK can recondition the ECU via post. But someone else may have a better/different idea. An earth fault/battery lead fault could do the same thing though, so have some quality time with a multi-meter before jumping to a conclusion..
