Every time I go to get my hair cut I ask them to give me a thick side fringe, Kind of like this -> long-hairstyles-with-side-bangs.jpg the way the fringe starts further back on one side, but I always come out with just s shorter flap of hair on one side. Am I asking for the right thing or what would you call this hairstyle? Any help is mucho appreciato :D

Not being smart then, but maybe you just need a different hairdresser. If they see the pic and can't do it, then knowing the name of the style won't help much.

What area are you in? Maybe someone could recommend a good stylist.

The way in which your hair sits naturally, thickness, and other factors may not allow for you to have a side fringe like that. I know I've never been able to get one :(

Looks like a long regular fringe brushed to one side could replicate the picture. I had a regular fringe once, and when it grew out a little, it looked like the picture above (and ones that I had brought in on several occasions).

I've had the same experience where I've asked for a side fringe multiple times, shown a picture, but still walked out with some short pieces of hair on one side of my face and nothing resembling the pictures I brought in.
