door pvc door lock

    Broke key in door- unscrewed lock from inside- key jammed in lock barrell-
    Removed barrell to get new tomorrow-
    One of these see.pic - fitted to each. Side of door- one fell. Off then other-
    Cannot get them.to keep open to put handle mechanism back in-
    Is there a knack to.it? Thks.ps.are.these.barrells expensive?

    You mean euro cylinder ? There is a grub screw you take out first, then while turning key you pull and it should come out. If you can't do that it's a couple of visa grips plyer on either side to snap euro cylinder in half or drill it out.

    Grub screw us to right of euro cylinder in your first picture. Euro cylinder around 40euro.

    Thks I have cylinder out 40 euro you reckon /ok that will include few keys I presume.
    The pic shows a piece that is fitted on door when you take handle off.

    I just can't get it to stay open to allow piece of metal through that turns the handle to open/close door. I never saw them before on other handles..thks
