A strange question maybe but fairly essential. What levers do you all use?

    Plastic crap

Personally I find the Tacx ones very good. Had a set of Park tool ones but for certain tyres they were very thick and actually made it unnecessarily difficult to lever the tyre off the rim. Tacx ones are a good combination of thin and strong, IME.

Pedros are excellent - not only functional but the are garishly coloured so you don't leave them behind. PBK were my favourite for years - I bought several sets in a sale. They were metal coated in plastic but I don' think they do them any more.

If you are buying kit - any kit, go on chainreaction or wiggle and look up the reviews. If what you want has heaps of good reviews it is probably up to the job. Works for me whether its tyres or tools or just about anything.

Bought a cheap plastic set from halfords, they work perfectly for me.

Generally an avid fan of their gear but avoid aldi/lidl tyre levers... Pretty crap.

These are far and away the best I've found! Probably a bit big for stuffing in a jacket pocket but perfect for changing tyres a home!

Every tyre lever I've ever used has snapped. Without exception & without fail. Annoying. I use 2 metal teaspoons. If the Mrs knew...

For many, many years I used soup spoons. Never let me down.

I second the tacx levers. I asked the mechanic in a bike shop the same question you asked here and they were the ones he recommended and used in the shop. Can't complain since I got mine

Have a set of bontrager ones got in the LBS after lidl cr*p broke. Had BBB ones before that, but they snapped mid-putting new wheels on, hence the lidl ones. Bontrager lads have been excellent thus far.

Thanks folks :) I'm fed up snapping the cheap plastic ones.

Just went to order the Tacx ones linked above, wheelworx want €8.50 postage for a €4 item!! That is scandalous, normally I like supporting irish companies but I'll be using Amazon for these.
