It's an old Vicon CM165 mower, with a leather?? covering over it. It's gone hard over the years and it during last year. I'd like to repair it before it gets too bad. Any ideas on how to stitch it up??

    Cable ties work??

Hadn't thought of that. I thought of stitching it up with some twine or something like that. I'm just afraid the cover will tear again at any new holes I make

I do some sewing, and with leather you're better off going to a professional tailor. You're not going to be able to do a decent repair job on it with a domestic needle and thread, or even a domestic sewing machine.

I don't think any tailor around would know what to do with a cover off a mower I'm afraid:pac:

Cable ties as Reggie suggested would be a good option to consider.

In fairness the op mislead citygirl by saying the cover was leather :)

That's true, Trevira or something isn't it? Bit more difficult to manage than leather!
