Anyone recommend any insurance companies that will give travel insurance to someone who is in remission? I heard it can be hard to get.

I saw that you had no replies. If you go to a local travel agents, they will be well used to dealing with this problem. You will pay bit more for the Insurance, than doing it over the internet, but at least by doing it through them, you know you are covered if anything happens. When taking out Insurance, there is a questionaire where they ask if you have had previous illness, in this case, you would answer, yes. Then there is a telephone number that you ring, they ask you more relevant questions. This number has nothing to do with the travel agent, or insurance agent, so is entirely confidential. In some cases, there might be a slight loading on the Insurance, but once you declare to them, what the medical details were, then you would be covered. You could go on line, and get a travel insurance policy for under E20, but if you dont declare previous recent medical problems, and if you had a medical claim whilst abroad, then you would.nt have a leg to stand on. they could refuse to pay up.

You could try Accident & General Insurance Services 01-8558346. My Grandad used to use them for his medical conditions when travelling and as far as I know they cover people in remission

Most insurers will insure you but exclude anything to do with your cancer. Not ideal really.

I have MS and used AllClear. It's a UK company but they'll quote for ROI residents

    https://www.allcleartravel.co.uk/CGI-BIN/LANSAWEB?WEBEVENT+R0A3EEA72093920006671061+ALC+ENG

I got a reasonable quote from them and it included cover for my MS.
