Majorca - Soller or Puerto Pollensa?

For a 5/6 night break in the last week of August - which would be better - Puerto Pollensa or Soller?
It would be just myself and my girlfriend (30 and 35). I guess we are mainly looking for somewhere nice to relax in the sun during the day and nice restaurant options for dinner.
Not really interested in pubs/clubs/nightlife as we just want to chill out somewhere nice.

Probably won't have a car but I wouldn't be against hiring one either if that made things easier.
This will be mainly about relaxation but we would definitely visit Palma one of the days for a few hours and would be open to another trip or two if there are decent options.
Just from having a look online Soller & PP look like nice places but as ever some first hand experiences from people who have been to either place would be a great help.
Thanks in advance for any opinions on either place

Hi OP, myself & my husband were in puerto pollensa last yr for a week in June. We are both in our 30's and not into clubs etc but like going for dinner & having a couple of drinks. Stayed in the Bellamar apts which are right across from the beach & about 10/15 min stroll into the centre. We did enjoy the week but did decide afterwards it was just a bit too quiet. We had stayed in alcudia the yr before, again in June and would prob recommend here more. That said puerto pollensa probably had the nicer restaurants overall.

Hi two years ago we went for a week and did 4 day in p Pollensa and 3 in Soller and we enjoyed it. We would do a good bit of walking and cycling with some beach time. We liked both places and we did not hire a car , we went by bus from Pollensa to Soller which was a fab bus journey lovely scenery on windy roads. Pollensa had nicer beach and if you wanted more action you could easily go to Alcudia. Also the restaurants were better value in Pollensa.
