Do you sell the females through the ring after you've taken out the replacements?

No, usually put 160 ewes to the Lleyn to get around 280 lambs or 140 ewe lambs, we keep about 125..... what's left wouldn't be great, so they're slaughtered

What would ye recommend as a good cross with lleyn ewes?
Father is anxious to get rid of the white head of lleyn, personally I see nothing wrong with it myself but he's convinced black headed sheep sell better.
    Suffolk possibly?

    what about dorpers?:D
    dorperewe_small.jpg

the sooner farmers gets over their predudice against white sheep the better for the industry as a whole.
the color of money is more important simple as 100 lleynX ewes make more PROFIT than 100 suffolk ewes and are less work
(individual lamb price is no indicator of profitability)

any progress on the lleyn society shelling out for the positive thoughts?
maybe we could get vouchers to buy a ram for the most positive posts?;)

first thing cut off a lamb in the factory is its head!
Could it be that people like using the face markings to identify the different individuals?
