    Hi everyone!
The fees i have to pay next year for UCD are around 5800. I wondered if this was the fees i will have to pay each year or is it the fees for the whole degree?
That would make a big difference !
Thank you so much in advance,
    Manon

    Hi ManonRiv,

They're per year, but are you an EU student? In that case you shouldn't have to pay 'fees' as they're covered by the govt, you instead have to pay a 'student contribution' which is €2,750 this year (and likely to increase...).

You may also be entitled to a grant, which would cover the student contribution and potentially cover some living expenses, you can get information and how to apply here - http://www.studentfinance.ie/

There's more general UCD fees info here - http://www.ucd.ie/registry/adminservices/fees/news.html

Its for another thread but that name really should be changed. A contribution is a nominal addition. €2k+ is a fee and they really should stop masquerading it as such. I think Non-EU fee's are something like €20k, so the 'contribuition' is equivalent to 10% of that, hardly nominal. There are people, and I've met many of them, that have no idea its so high.

    Amen to that.
