    Hi
    I have a few large photos (30 byb40 inch, 1 12 by 12 inch), frames with mount.

I've decided to mount /frame then myself. It's it better to mount/stick them to the mount or backboard?

I heard only a little bit of masking tape new ech corner is enough.
    Thanks,
    pa

i always (after procrostinating for 2 years to print out in the first place) put a bit of sellotape on the corner, then hold the mount over and when happy with position then place it down and press the edges and the photo is stuck in place. then put into frame. then admire, then after another 2 years later finally get around to putting up on wall (sometimes)

    hope that helps :-)

masking tape is for just that masking areas not to be painted. sellotape is for wrapping presents

if you want the prints to last any length of time. use the right materials

as for 30*40 inch prints, you will struggle to keep them flat without sticking them down (to a sticky board), if you dont stick them down over time they will go wavy

    thanks.
I ended up bring them to The Frame Shop in Galway who are going to kindly do it for me. I checked with a few people and got a lot of different opinions and advice.
I'd listen most to advice from the pros so decided to get a pro to do it. They're for an exhibition and hopefully sell so want to ensure they're perfect.
