    Hi all

im currently working full time in customer services and that pretty much the only area i worked in for the past 10 years.

Im 27 and just achieved a 2.1 degree in business and law which i had been studying part time 3 evenings a week for the past 4 years. Im currently studying Part 1 of the AITI tax exams which ive funded myself.

My thinking prior to getting the above result was that if i had only achieved a 2.2 degree and had passed the Part 1 exams then perhaps i would still have a shot at getting a tax grad position.

However, this morning i sat a capital gains exam and i dont think i did well. I have the main exams in August but that is not a lot of time to prepare, especially since im working full time.

If i fail, given the circumstances, i assume i would need to mention that i failed in an interview for a tax grad position. What would my chances be then of getting a grad position?

Im also thinking of whether i should alternatively apply for a graduate role in audit but the degree i have only gives exemptions for 3 of the ACCA papers and not sure if any for ACA Cap 1 exams.

Any thoughts or advise would be much appreciated. I really dont like the job im in and really dont fancy staying in it until next April next year which would be the earliest i could repeat the tax exams if i fail.
