Hi! Need advice about Spray Tan and when to get it! Im going to a wedding next Sunday and want to get sprayed for it so it looks really nice and i dont look orange. Im wearing a cream dress and from what ive read if you are wearing a light dress like that you should get sprayed 2days before the event so that you can shower a few times before the event ensuring all the bronzing agent is out of it and it doesnt rub off on the dress? My problem is im goin to a concert on friday so will be getting ready from about 1ish not giving me time to get sprayed and shower before i go!

    Please Help!!!

Friday would probably be the ideal time to get it but as you can't I would say get it done Thursday evening as late as possible. This gives it time to develop overnight (most places recommend 8 hours developing time) before your concert.

I wouldn't shower too much if possible... Maybe 2-3 times before the wedding just to be sure you're not washing off too much. Pat skin dry and moisturise after every shower with an oil free lotion. Oils will break down the tan so it's really important to use the right one.

I'd also recommend waxing your legs, rather than shaving, at least 24 hours before your tan. Shaving can strip away the tan making it streaky.

I don't know where you are located but a tan that alot of brides use is called "au courant". I would get this brand and get it done Saturday morning if possible! Otherwise Thursday night!

I got au courant tan done for a wedding last week. The wedding was on Friday, but I got it done on the Tuesday as I was flying out first thing Wednesday morning. It looked nice for the few days and lasted pretty well for the wedding with lots of moisturising, but I'd have preferred to have it done on the Wednesday. I'd second re: waxing over shaving, showering as little as possible, and only patting dry after a shower. Oh, and don't go swimming either! :)
