    Hi folks,

    Tentatively looking into a wedding in summer 2015 or 2016. Irish guy and American girl - civil ceremony type thing as a church wedding isn't something either of us want (or could do because of religious reasons).

    Things we know we want/hope for;

    1. Small wedding - family and close friends 20-30 people in total.
    2. International destination - accessible destination (direct flights?) from both Ireland and western US.
    3. More unique experience than traditional - beach wedding / rent a villa / wedding come 3/4/5 day adventure holiday.
    4. Country where there aren't too many hoops to jump through to get married but will also be recognized in each of our home countries.
    5. Ireland is an option if the other conditions are favourable. Same goes for America.

    We basically are looking for minimum fuss (and minimal cost if possible). Invite family and friends to a relaxing location where we have the chance to stay for a few days and do fun activities together.

    I'd love to hear from anyone who has done something similar! Or anyone with any advice or recommendations.

    Thanks in advance.
