    Hello,

Received my acceptance at the end of May, and by then ALL student residences were booked out for Fall semester 2014... Having trouble finding any landlords or people who are willing to rent a room to me just for September-end of December. Any other homeless students, local or international, looking for friends to house with? Or who have a room available? It'd be great to know I'm not alone :(!

Just lie and say you're going to be there for the year and then give a months notice at the start of december. You'll be fine.

Get the student housing list from the student union.

If she signs a year long lease and then leaves in December she'll have broken a legal contract. The landlord will keep the deposit and would be entitled to pursue her for 8 months of rent in court.

She's leaving the country, there really isn't a lot the landlord can do besides keep the deposit and if they aren't total tools they won't even do that.

That would be it, yeah. try daft.ie as well.

If worst comes to worst, just book a hostel for the first few days you arrive and spend a few days house hunting, get in touch with the international student society and see if they have people looking for room mates as well.
