Travelling to London with kids: passport query

    Hey guys. I'm going to England with my partner and 3 kids during the summer. Just wanted to know wat if kids need passports to go. They are 2, 5 and 9.

    If you are flying with Ryanair then they will need them to get on the plane - this is an airline requirement, not an immigration requirement. Other airlines don't require a passport specifically, but I don't know what ID they do accept for children.

    On the immigration control front - technically you don't need a passport to move between the UK & Ireland if you are Irish (I'm sure someone will provide more detail, but that's the gist), but if you are queried then to prove you are Irish you likely need documentation . . . so it's sort of a catch-22.
