Looking for accommodation advice

I'm coming from Croatia to study engineering at DIT, was wondering if you guys would recommend sharing a flat or going with student's accommodation for the first year.
I'm interested in finding someone to share a flat with near Bolton St., if possible and not too expensive. Would really appreciate if anyone could give me a hand with finding a place or offer me to share an apartment with them.
