Fender US vs Japan (Neck Comparison)

Hi I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is any difference between the American Fender necks compared to the Japanese versions.

I really want a Japanese Fender Strat but not completely sure what the necks are like.

I recently played one that was made in the 80s but I assume the necks are difference now.

On the US site the typical strat neck is a "C" shape as I'm sure everyone here knows but on the Japanese site they call their necks "oval" shape necks. I'm just curious if there is any difference and if so what is it.

That depends on the model of the guitar. It's to explain without knowing the specific guitars.

However, Fender Japan typically makes vintage-style reissue guitars.

This usually means a 7.25" fretboard radius (meaning it's rounder); thinner or possibly narrower frets; and only twenty-one frets in total. The necks invariably come with a glossy poly finish on the back and, in the case of maple fretboards, a finished fretboard as well. The truss rod may also be accessible only at the base of the neck.

For the sake of comparison, Fender's popular American Series guitars have 9.5" fretboard radii (flatter); medium-jumbo frets; and twenty frets in total. The back of the neck has a satin finish, though their maple fretboards have a glossy poly finish. The truss rod is accessible at the headstock.

American Vintage Reissues have nitro finishes.

Well Specifically I was thinking about the Aerodyne strats. I know they are lighter than the regular ones but no idea about the necks.
