Transferring in Stansted - help

    Hi,
I've been looking for flights from Dublin to Athens - the cheapest way I can find is to fly from Dublin to London Stansted, then Stansted to Athens.
However, there is only an hour between the arrival in Stansted and the departure from there to Athens.
I won't have any checked in luggage - could anyone tell me whether this is enough time to transfer flights?

You've left it fairly tight, there is no transfer channel in Stansted for FR/EZY they don't sign up to it (that was the case the last year for me) - That means you have to exit through arrivals and re-enter at security before proceeding to the gate and it is also reliant on your inbound DUB flight landing hopefully early or on-time. Just remember 45 minutes prior to departure is the absolute minimum you should be entering security, should you make that you will be fine. The only positive about your booking is you'll be arriving as domestic and exiting fairly quick if you have no bags to collect from Ireland, just cross your fingers that your inbound is early/on-time.

Question how much of a connection time do you have flying back from ATH to STN and onto DUB? Because with recent delays at UK Immigration I'd recommend 2hrs between the two on return.

Thanks very much for your reply: I think I'll take the risk; and take as many precautions as possible to reduce connection time. I have 1 hour and 45 minutes of a connection time on return; hopefully it'll be enough

No worries, 1hr 45mins should be fine again owing that the inbound is on-time from Athens, good luck! Let us know how you get on and enjoy Athens. :)
