Hi All, Last week of May 2014 I traded an item + cash for a computer in a store. The store promised 10 working days, on the 2nd week I called they said still on the deliveries. On the 3rd week still waiting I went to Citizens Information and asked for help. Same answer still waiting for the deliveries. On the 4th went again to Citizens Information and same answer again. Until today no contact from the store. Very frustrated with my transaction. I want my money back.

Many thank's for any advice or any have the same experience.

I would say that most places would probably offer a refund at this stage, if asked. Have you asked for a refund?

If you have already asked for a refund and if they haven't given it to you, you could consider going to the Small Claims Court.

To The Mustard, the store won't give the refund all can they say is still waiting for the deliveries. I try to cancel my purchased to make refund they won't give full refund, it's like 60% of the price.

    I will try your advise.

    Thumbs up, The Mustard.

Start dealing with them in writing, not phone calls and walk-ins, at least not on their own. Push for a deadline and when they will move to "Plan B", from waiting for a delivery to offering a refund. If they won't agree to a deadline, you propose one. Be reasonable.

Then it's time for the small claims court and you have evidence that you tried to work with them.

Went to the store today around 2pm and ask about my purchased, still nothing. I ask for Full Refund, Manager won't give it. He will give me refund -25% because of the VAT.
I said I won't leave the store until I get a written arrangement of Final Date of the delivery. Manager said no and emailed the supplier. After a while supplier replied 'the is scheduled to ship Week 2 July'.

I said I will complain to (asai.ie) Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland.

The Manager printed one for me the supplier email and email to me the supplier's email. I asked the Manager to signed it, I agree 2nd week of July. The Manager refused.

At 5:30pm stored closed, I went home, leave the paper.

What VAT is due on an order that isn't fulfilled?

Yeah, that was I am thinking. Maybe for the order they make to the supplier.

After I went to the store, I went directly to Garda Station they tried to contact them, I said it's closed already. The Garda said come back to the store tomorrow and said " I don't want to make a business with you and I want my full refund back. I will go back to Garda Station.

Guards cant help you here as its a civil matter. Gardaí can only deal with criminal matters im afraid.

Small claims court would nearly be your best bet at this stage id imagine.

Well, they did'nt refuse to talk to the OP. And maybe a phone call from the local station just might help speed up things.

Sorry, I will be more specific while I'm in Garda Station.

At first they tried to call the store, and give me advice on what to do. And offer me to come back again.

But they said I can't make a complain it's not a case or it's not their job yet. They will get involve if example one person will go to the store with a gun and said 'Where's my computer?'
