There's plenty to learn about operating balers, not as simple as starting up and driving on. You will learn fast though especially if you have someone to show you how to solve problems as they appear.

No problem so, is it just straw or straw and silage that you will be baling?

Lots of good decent folk in England but just enough not for you to be watching your back. Either way it would be a good learning experience.

1/ get all the detail sorted out ie payrate/accommodation/wet day jobs?/ and writen down
2/ try keep machines tidy, not ocd clean but cabs especially wear overalls when servicing up etc big help. If **** hits fan and machine goes wrong a fella who keeps his rig someway organised gives a better impression regards regular servicing than some one in a 's##t pit'.
3/ Just ask questions ask for feed back til you get going at it, you can't compensate for experience but sher you'll never learn til you do it!

Were bouts you headed? east anglia?
