I have to an old sata hardrive from a laptop ,
IT had linux deepin installed on it.

Can i put it in to my pc,running linux, and copy the mp3s off it.
I suspect i,t ll say these files cant be acessed .
IS there a utility i can use to acess those files .
or a live cd i can use to copy them.
I,M running an older version of linux deepen on the pc.

THE DRIVE is not encrypted ,
i just have a standard linux password , username , on the laptop.

Should work fine, assuming you've root access on your PC then you can do what you want with the drive after you've mounted it up.

If the drive is not encrypted you don't even need the password. With no encryption physical access = root access.
